King of Nothing
(idleness)
Encapsulated within lies the King of Nothing. He is potential incarnate.
But this is potential that denies itself the objective world—romanticizing isolation and falling in love with its own ideas. Lack of action makes an idle man the King of Nothing, holding the potential for everything while racing against time—a race plagued by worldly distractions.
There’s something to be said for being the King of Nothing rather than being humbled by failed actions. But the deeper question remains: were we meant to stay in our rooms all our lives, or not?
