Strengthbringer

Life is brutal.

Without the strength to hold on tight, life’s misery and hardship will sweep you away. Illness, misfortune, unfairness, cruelty, violence, deceit, betrayal, heartbreak, death, and more, are a few of the daily things human beings have to deal with. Only the strong survive, as they say.

Strength is the ability to open you chest and walk head first into danger. It’s not courage, but the willingness to undertake hardships knowing that not doing so will only make things worse. Strength is being a support for others. It’s being reliable, responsible, dependable. It’s understanding that you don’t deserve anything, and that nothing is fair, and that the best you can do is be a pillar that supports a worthwhile foundation. Strength is not to be fearless, but to hold the weight of the world on your shoulders willingly, knowing that it is hard and that it will hurt, but that doing so will be better for you and everyone else. Strength is being the first to do something, and not wait for someone else to do it for you. It is sacrifice. It is resilience. It is patience, and it is loving when not loved back.

Strength is a necessity, and in all honesty we often lack it.

Be careful not to confuse Strength and Pride. Toxic ideals of being a protector, and provider, or a leader worth ruling over others is not strength but pride.
